The sea floods the low-lying parts of the coast. Material damage to vessels and vehicles is possible; parts of coastal roads, walking paths and older piers are flooded. Beginning of sanitation problems in coastal towns. Sea access is significantly hindered.
Avoid locations at risk. Avoid walking by the sea. Check the road drivability and access to locations. Avoid driving on flooded coastal roads, park your cars in parking lots that are not in the immediate vicinity of the sea. Remove cars and other objects from the broader coastal area. Owners of vessels should check the situation in berths. Follow the information about potential problems with public utilities and sewerage systems.
Before the event, or upon warning by public services,
timely check the vessels in berths and anchor points. Prepare vessels and other objects for stormy conditions. Park your cars in parking lots that are not in the immediate vicinity of the sea. Remove all objects, devices and pleasure crafts from the coast.
During the event:
Do not sail out on any vessel and do not swim in the sea! Avoid moving by the sea, especially lingering in the leeward parts of buildings, treelines and billboards; any works at heights should be stopped; do not repair the damage to vessels and other objects during the storm. We recommend great care in traffic on coastal roads, especially in crosswind and in exposed areas (e.g. by jetties, breakwaters with rock rubbles, piers); expect felled trees or broken power lines and stranded vessels.
We recommend that you take great care and monitor the development of the weather situation and consistently follow any instructions of the bodies of the Civil Protection and Maritime Administration.
